Mast/boom paint

Hello all---quick question,...I have an 1986 H34 and i need to sand and repaint the boom and mast. What type of paint (and color) is recommended? Any suggestions on how to do this cheaply and easily(contradiction in terms, eh?)?

Interlux Interthane Plus

It is about the only thing I know that will stick. Runs about $50 quart. One Quart should do it.

I've painted a couple of masts using two part polyurethanes.I used Endura [ probably not available in the U.S.]the last time,and Interthane on my previous boat.Both are excellent products and stand up well.Just be sure to follow the directions exactly...the preparation is everything!As for colour I'd go for a light one...it's easier to hide your mistakes!
