Maryland Temp Stickers on Inflateables

Does anyone have any experience with Maryland temporary registration stickers on inflateables? How easily are they removable?
When I picked up the pvc dinghy at WM they gave me round temp stickers while we wait for the permanent numbers and stickers to be sent. I plan to stencil the numbers on and am concerned that I won't be able to remove the temporary stickers off without damaging the pvc and messing up the stencilling. Meanwhile I carry the paperwork with us and just use the oars.

my understanding is if you use a outboard motor for propulsion you have to register it with the state if ors only then no

In PA, you must register a tender if it has a motor. Oars only, no. But I have no experience on the OP's question about sticker removal. PA allows you to put numbers on a board of some sort and hang from the inflatable. Why not do something like that with the temp sticker?

sticker on board, numbers on inflatable. (paint or decals)

and Fla marine patrol looks for dingies w/o stickers. but often a warning is given.

Some put state stickers on the transom. Authorities don't seem to mind.
Numbers stenciled on the inflatable is a better idea than boards which are too easy for a would be thief to remove.

Thanks to all.
I already purchased the stencil kit so just waiting for the final numbers and registration stickers. In the meantime I have to put the temps on a board, put them on the transom or just carry them around with the temp registration papers.
Mainly would like to know if once on ìf they peal off without messing up the pvc surface.

Your not in MD. The OP is correct. They WILL write a ticket. The MDE loves hanging just outside harbors and pulling tenders over and checking for:
* Operator's permit
* Registration (even if you have the sticker)
* PFDs (mandatory ticket)
* Sound devise (whistle).

As for numbers, I've found a stencil and using Sharpie to be very effective and peel-proof. You just go over them every 2-3 years, since they do fade.

Don't know specifically about the stickers in your state, but usually you can't get them to stick to an inflatable if you wanted to. That's why some states (Michigan included, where I am), lets you put the stickers on the transom. They should come right off with no trouble. Maybe lightly hit it with a hair dryer first to make sure. Not a heat gun though, too hot.
For the numbers, I've always painted them on, but the glue on numbers made for inflatables last longer albeit way more expensive.
