Marrying a wind transducer with another brand display....

...can it be done ?

i have a signet wind transducer for the top of the mast it checks out good on the ohm meter according to signet manuals ...the display is trashed...it came with my boat ...so i am wondering if i could mate it up with a raymarine display....theses things (transducers that is) are very expensive....i can find a raymarine display reasonably price....... they tell wind speed and direction ...so can it be done without breaking the bank.....

Perhaps. But unlikely without some real luck or work

The sensors use one of three models: resistance, voltage, or amperage. And in a different range of readings that get converted by the head unit into wind speed and direction.

Raymarine units use voltage.

I've recently integrated a Simrad IS15 wind instrument into a new Raymarine system so it can be done.
