Not so quick. While nice boats, they have their own BIG issues, like embedded chainplates (unlike ours and yours that have fine access) and water tanks under the cabin sole that almost can't be removed (like your water heater!).

and stu, when did catalina go out of business? shouldn't the factory be the first call? after all, they made the boat.
Bob answered that one, quite well. And lest you forget, Morty, a majority of the "issues" facing all Catalina owners were discovered and documented by the owners' associations and included in the association websites: THE source of repairs, solutions and upgrade information, NOT Catalina Yachts. Catalina just happened to be much better than most builders by actually listening to their owners and incorporating the fixes in later models.

stu, as almost always we basically agree. all i suggested is that catalina yachts might be the first phone call. i never heard of frank butler of jerry douglass not being anxious to help. like garhauer.
