Marinized VW Rabbit engine

Hi all, We are trying to track down a starter for about a 1983/84 marinized VW Rabbit diesel. The original Bosch code is 068-911-023.
An old part for an old engine! Any help appreciated from people that may have one of these engines in their boat.

I doubt that the starter was "marinized". Any auto salvage yards in your area? Or a VW dealer?
