I'm restoring a '72 mariner and all seems original and fixable, but I've got a 'leak' and the boat has been on a trailer for 6 months! There is a steady weep coming from 6 inches in front of the c-board trunk and also 2 feet forward, from the screw holes where the mast support pole is screwed into the floor. Not sure if there is a space between the hull and floor this far forward, but it's soaked 3 towels in 2 days. No rain in the past 2 weeks. Is there a bilge or space I don't know about? The only access nearby is a 4 inch round hole in front of the sink, but that seems dry. Could it be that the foam flotation under the vee is saturated? I plan to cut holes in the vee to check for water, and it will be a major chore to pull out the flotation foam, but I'll do what I need to do to stop this weeping water. Smells like mold down below. Anybody seen this before? Is there a mysterious space between the hull and floor, without access, that I should be aware of? Thanks for any and all help
