I have a mariner 2+2 and i've always found it hard to raise and lower the mast. When I bought it the previous owner suggested tying a rope to the forestay and pulling it up thru a block on the bow, but it swings sideways and puts pressure on the tabernacle. It is tough to walk it up by hand when you have to step from cockpit onto the cabin roof and then wrestle the forestay into its place. Any good tricks out there?
