I have to run new speaker wires to my stereo. Is there a special type of marine wire that has to be used or can you use just regular insulated stranded wire?? Thanks Paul H S/V Linda Belle 95 H26

I'm installing a stereo in my boat this spring and I'm going to use 16ga Ancor duplex wire for the speakers. I use nothing but "Marine grade" wire on my boat because of its resistance to corrosion.

Regular Radio Shack Wire
has worked for us for the past six years, and on other boats. I've upped to the largest size and check the connections occasionally. It's the ONLY place I don't use Ancor wire on-board. Stu
