Is it possible to convert the porta potti to a marine head with holding tank and possible thru hull discharge? Has anyone done this. I spoke with a local dealer that said it could not be done. Thanks.
If you have the standard Sanipottie/Coleman/etc portapotti there is a modification for it to convert it to a deck pump out, even a larger holding tank. It doesn't include a separate tank, just a larger one in place of the stock one with a pump out connection. I was just looking into this on the 26X I just bought. Under the cooler pan is a space in the bilge which I think will hold a 6 gal holding tank. There is sufficient room between the cooler and the head compartment for plumbing. I guess pumpout lines would have to be in the corner of the head compartment. WHat do you think.
there is a dealer here in town that put one in a mac 26x last year i saw it my self took soom room in the cooler space but he did it. scotts yachts in wilmington nc his # is on the mac dealers list
