Thanks for the info Doug J.
Strange question...
I noticed in one of the pictures that your tiller was lifted all the way up. Mine hits the cross bar on the stern railing???
It looks like you used flexible conduit correct?
The PO had a welder raise the center rail section on the stern to be the same height as the stern seats. Now there is a lot more clearance for the tiller to be raised.

With regard to the flexible conduit question; I used a piece of 3" plastic pipe normally used for landscaping drainage. It's somewhat bendable and was able to conform to the curve of the hull inside the coaming.

You said you will be adding a second tank with macerator, y-valve, etc.. You may consider that with a MSD Sanipottie, you could simply have a second 2.5 or 5.0 gallon tank. Just put the caps on and find a place to stow the full tank. Maybe secured it to the stern rail, until you can dump it. In the pic below you can see the carry handle behind the hose connections. Just remove the hose connections and replace with the provided caps. That's what I like about the MSD's simple to install and provides the ability to manual dump if no dump stations are available.

That'll also work, but also requires disconnecting and capping the vent and pumpout fittings on the tank...then reconnecting 'em to the replacement tank. I'm kinda partial to keeping the need to get up close and personal with holding tank contents to a minimum.

This Dometic/Sealand toilet comes with a 2.5 gallon or 5 gallon holding tank. I have the 5 gallon tank. This is my solution when we are in Canada or if the place we are cruising for a week or two and it is more convenient to do pump-outs rather than carry the tank in the marina. Install/uninstall takes about 15 minutes. To me it is the best of both worlds.DSCF1802.JPG DSCF1807.JPG DSCF1808.JPG

Well, I've finally noodled it all out with a plan. I ordered an MSD porta potty, a macerator pump and a 12 gallon tank. I will mount the tank in the stern on the port side and locate the pump out on the stern. I will place the vent just aft of the head window under the rub rail. The batteries will be moved to the center of the stern on a custom built platform.
I will post pictures and video as I work on it.
