Has anyone heard of any aftermarket company working on propane conversions for small diesel engines?

Not for diesel engines but lots are doing propane conversion to gas engines.
there is a lot of information on Google about propane injection assisted use that sound promising but from what i can tell its like going backwards to do a complete conversion to all propane........

Like Woody said there are some kits to use propane assisted injection to diesel but at $500 to $1000 plus dollars PLUS installation cost if you could not do it yourself not sure how it would every payback itself. Claims more power and more fuel efficiency (don't they all ! ?) Some kits require electronic fuel injection and turbos to work. (not common on small sailboat diesel engines) Not sure this is a good idea or why/what are the advantages to this.

Peter i personally think that they are some sort of snake oil based on the cost versus the improvement ...the only thing i ever did to a gas engine back in the day was to turbocharge a 165 Mercruser on a 17 ft Glastron v hull...it made a big difference/improvement ....speed went from 47 to 61 mph and fuel effency went from 62 gallons on a 205 mile trip to 46 gallons...but the kit cost me $2,100.00 back in 1976 and me doing the work...best i remember she would kick in at about 2300 to 2500 rpms and at top speed (4800 to 5100 rpms the best i remember) she would leave about 18 to 24 inches of the boat hull in the water with the rest flying high ...oh and i had to change the cupped ss prop to a 21 inch ss clever and all this was done because of the gas prices jumping from .29 cents a gallon to .52 cents a gallon ...the crap man will do to save a buck and satisfy his ego....:D

when dad was buying my gas it was .22 cents a gallon and he was rasing hell about me running up a $25.00 dollar credit card bill every month on my part but he never did revoke my card i would just get it down to under $20.00 the next month and everything would be ok till the next month when shazam $25.00 again lol.....
