My '99 H310 Marine Air Vector Compact A/C developed a compressor leak after only one season. I soon discovered that (a) technicians are hard too find (dealers are plenty) (b) are unwilling to travel more than 25 miles (c) Marine Air do not return phone calls nor do they believe in replacement units. It's a great unit - but when it breaks you better hope that your boat is close to an available technician! Needless to say 4 weeks later my unit is still out. I am drafting a complaint to Marine Air but need to know if this is an isolated incident (compressor leaking at one of the three welding spots about 1" from the bottom of the unit) Any similar experiences with either the product or Marine Air Customer Service? Thanks in advance!

Hot air, cold service

I have found it nearly impossible to find service techs to repair mine. I did find that the Marine Air tech department was helpful, but could not locate a repairman in Chicago or Milwaukee that would travel to my boat. Finally located an A/C guy who new how to fix as a sideline. Have not had weld problems.
