I am bringing my 2016 Beneteau 37 "Coherent" to the Florida Atlantic coast for the Winter 2017-2018 season. Any recommendations for a reasonably-priced slip or mooring, especially for the Stuart area or further south? The boat has a 12' 8" beam, 56' mast height and draws 4' 8". My top priorities are price and security (i.e. low incidence of petty theft and vandalism). No need for a lot of value-add resort services like pool, exercise rooms, on-site hotel, etc. Thanks!

Haven'r been that way in a couple of years, but South of North Palm Beach is pricey.
You might check the "Active Captain" web site for current recommendations.
Or, a new site "Snag a Slip" has details, prices, and books marinas in South Florida.
Make sure you indicate air clearance AND draft requirements of your vessel when inquiring.
Some marinas ar limited to 4 ft. at low tide.

If you are willing, you could look at private docks too. There are lots of canals off the ICW with docks at condos and homes.

I'm not familiar with marinas I that area but I have spent a lot of time down there. I find the area around Merritt Island is beautiful and small town. Titusville is very nice and you get to watch rockets launch. Brevard is also very nice with one of the best small zoos I've ever been to. Once you get as far as Jupiter you start to see costlier housing. Lantana is not rich, more working class but I think more transients. Boca Raton is VERY UPSCALE. I like Stuart but it will probably be the more expensive in the immediate area. Last time I was there, there was a lot of new construction on resort property and we got a stupid cheap deal but I doubt that is still a thing.
Check out Brevard and Titusville.

In Boca Raton, you won’t find commercial marinas. There are resorts/condos with marinas, but there are only a couple, and they probably won’t have slips for non-residents.
Lake Boca Raton is a bay inside the Boca Inlet. You can anchor there. There is no mooring field. There is a strong current at times. It is also bounded by the ICW, so there will be chop.
These “Lakes” exist throughout the ICW in South Florida. You can anchor in them, but I cannot imagine it is comfortable with boat traffic nearby.

You could try the Sailfish Marina in Palm Beach. They have slips... probably VERY pricey. As a native of Boca, I would contact private owners of homes with docks.
