Marina recommendations around SF bay area peninsula?

I've been lurking around here for a while, but this is my first post.

I've recently purchased a 1992 Catalina 22 and I'll need to find a slip around the SF peninsula. My wife and I live in South San Francisco and we've been checking out the marinas from Brisbane down to Redwood City. It seems like Coyote Point would be a great spot but their power has been out since March with no current estimate for when it will come back on.

Any Bay Area sailors have recommendations for a small slip with water and electric? Are there any pros/cons to consider? I've been thinking that further south might be better since I've got a small sailboat and I'm a recent ASA 101 graduate, and it looks like the winds are a bit more palatable down south.

Any info or advice would be very appreciated!

Yes, for c22 redwoodcity port is excellent.
I am at Coyote Point with no power. But all else is functional. Generators are used where service is needed. What will you use power for? I installed solar panel to charge the batteries. I still think it is a good location and perfoot slip fee is lower than anywhere else.

Thanks @JoeWhite, that's helpful. I just spoke with someone from Coyote Point on the phone (Linda?) and she was super nice. She said I could definitely keep the C22 at a side-tie until the power comes back and then find a more permanent berth.

I won't need electricity that often, but I'll be undertaking a few projects that'd be a lot easier with access to power. Installing a new depth sounder / chart plotter, doing some vacuuming and cleaning, etc.

In your experience, is it okay to get a side-tie and just occasionally find other methods of power for these few cases? I bet solar would work fine for keeping batteries for lights and stuff topped up.

Hi yachtbynature
I am a long way from you, but at (fishers) dock without power.

I can do anything on my boat without shore power. Hand drills, hand saw, sandpaper on a block, battery powered tools and vacuum cleaner. Solar panels to keep the batteries up. Anything else waits till haulout time. In a pinch we have a community small Honda generator that is occasionally passed around.
Best of luck.

With C22, I am assuming you have a trailer. If so you can do that at home. Others who do not have solar panels bring Honda generator. You may be able to rent one. My neighbor brings one to work on his boat.
There are a few 22 footers just behind me side tie that have no place to plug in power.
I suggest drop by and take look.

Thanks @JoeWhite!

I actually don't have a trailer, nor do I have a place to park a boat. I'll be moving the boat from Alameda Marina and looking for a permanent slip.
