I use them in my boat. Yes, I have GPS but not a chart plotter. I still like using paper charts. My question! What kind of pen/pencil can I use on the charts that I can erase or clean off, without leaving any indentations or marks? I've tried pencil and it is hard to see, plus if I press hard enough it leaves an indentation on the page. Suggestions? Thanks.

Get a .5 mm pencil with 4b lead. it is very

soft and the white Hi-polymer pentel eraser. the soft pencil will make marks without leaving tracks and the eraser is the best I have seen.

I concur with Ross; an alternativ

an alternative is to use an acetate overlay with dry erase markers.
