I'm looking for nav maps online and/or to order for the keys. I'm going to trailer my o'day 22 there and try to get to a ramp as close to Little Torch Key at the north end where a relative of mine lives as a base camp. I did get a look at mapserver.maptech.com , water looks real skinny on the northwest corner there, and bridges in that area only have 8-9 ft clearance. Like to here from some of you locals that sail in the keys too, or if someone has e-mail of friends there. David S happy sialing

Charts of the Florida Keys

David, Here's a site that you can check out for charts of the area that you plan to sail. Your cruise sounds like a great plan. Good luck! Joe

Thanks Joe

I took a look at that related link "ocsdata.ncd.noaa.gov", its similar to "Maptech Mapserver" I found last evening. I had also looked at I think was "terraserva.com", it got down to showing street names and I could count houses. Boy have I got to get rid of this dial-up and get high speed. I wonder who is a good high speed provider? Any suggestion?? Thanks again Joe David S. happy sailing

I got rid of my dial-up last year and signed on to Verizon DSL for $19.95 a month. It's a heck of a lot faster than the dial-up, and a lot cheaper than Comcast broadband. If you can get DSL in your area, go for it. When you get it, download Google Earth at GoogleEarth.com. You need Windows XP or Vista. Google Earth is phenomenal. Good luck David, and smooth sailing.
