Maple Leafs Sailboats

We are looking at a couple different Maple Leaf sailboats. One has a center board and one does not. Any thoughts on the pro & cons of both the Maple Leaf's and the center board setup. Thanks for your input

The size your interested in, the waters you'll sail in. How big your crew will be..etc. How much you want to spend. Trailerable?

Sorry. They are Maple Leaf 42's. I believe the water line is 35'. We will be taken it to HI to replace our 42' Cascade that we just sold. It will be used for inter island sailing and live aboard for the winter about 4 months a year The crew is usually at least 3 but sometime only 2. The HI waters can be very rough in the winter which is the timeframe we spend in Hi, Nov till early March.

centerboard

You don't want the centerboard in the Pacific. It's a potential failure point.
