Manual windlass for Hunter 30

I have been trying to find a manual windlass for my Hunter 30 without much success. It seems like everything today is powered and requires a chain drop of at least 12". Has anyone with a similar boat been successful setting up some kind of a windlass that will work?

A couple of thoughts. defender has a few on there website and lewmar
made the seatiger 555 that has seen duty on many boats.

If it were my 30 foot boat I would not install a windlass.

In the latest issue of Good Old Boat Mag. a former employee of Simpson Lawrence set up to make spares and complete windlasses. Here is his website as in the magazine. <http:// www.slspares.co.uk> . Hope this helps.
