Manual to Electric Pump
I did the conversion using a SHURflo pump and faucet. The SHURflo faucet has the switch included on the faucet and makes a neat installation. The pump and faucet can be purchased separately or together as a kit. I had to fashion a round adaptor to cover the large hole left by the absence of the manual pump, and drill a smaller hole in the center for the smaller faucet. Alternatively, the original pump can be left in place to act as a faucet and backup in the event of electrical problems. However, if you replace the original pump with a new faucet, as I did, you will lose the check valve that is part of the original manual pump. You will then need to install a check valve or mount the pump as low as possible to avoid losing prime.Another route which you can investigate is to replace both the faucets with regular valve types and install a demand pump up forward at the water tank. Jabsco makes a demand pump which can supply two faucets for less than $50.00. If I had to do the conversion now, this would be my first choice. (Has anyone done it this way?)Hope this helps!Ralph RegarS/V Shambala
