You are in luck

Pull down the "More Fun" tab on this site's home page, and choose Manuals. The "manual" for the 23 is fully accessible. I use the term "manual" loosely here, as it is really nothing more than a two-sided sheet of paper with little information. I have a '79 23, and I too was searching for a comprehensive owner's manual for my boat. I wanted the equivalent of a car owner's manual, but O'Day didn't produce one for our boat.

George, I've got an electronic copy of the "manual" that someone else on this site was kind enough to share with me a while back. Send me your email and I'll be glad to email it to you. If you've got Powerpoint, and your email server let's you receive lots of data, just let me know and I'll send it to you that way. By the way, the manual doesn't really give you too much useful information. As the other Mike said, it mostly sales type information. But it is nice to have! Question for George of Knoxville

Sorry to but in on your forum, but your boat and location told methat you may be able to answer a question for me. I have a possible trade lined up, My 1984 Hunter 20 for a 1980 Oday 23. Mine has a trailer and his does not. Question...Do you think it is possible to safely trailer the Oday 23 1 time from Lake Thurman, GA to Lake Cumberland, KY on my Hunter 20 trailer? My trailer is a 1991 Performance Trailer, single axle, 3500 lb axle max, no trailer brakes. Thanks for for any info, and sorry again for inviting myself to your forum.Garygarypeters@prodigy.net

Towing Oday 23'

I don't know what the distance is between the two points you mentioned, but if it's any help, I one-time trailored my Oday 23 about 350 miles with a single axle trailer that had a towing capacity of about 3000 lbs. I took it very slow(rarely above 50 mph) and tried to take the flattest route possible. I arrived safe and sound, but I wouldn't want to do it again soon.
