I have a 1984 C-22 with no bilge pump onboard. Does anyone have a recomendation where to mount a manual pump? I would feel more comfortable havingone on board! Thanks Art <)))><
Many Catalina 22's have a manual bilge pump build into front of the port seat. I just updated mine in a '89 C-22, new valves, diaphram and added a closure (door) to the front of the pump. It is a good idea to have a manual on baord. I think you can get the same model for about $70-80. The hull fitting (mine is in the transom) and hose from bilge to the pump and pump to the hull fitting is extra.
West Marine's site has a couple models that are right around $50, not including the hose & outlet fitting. You could also opt for a Whale hand pump but it's almost as expensive ($45) and more difficult to pump from below (though you don't have to install it).LaDonna
