Manual Bilge Outlet Configuration

1971 25' Irwin project. This old PAR manual bilge pump under the cockpit seat compartment is shown in the picture with a "Y" on the discharge side (also shown off of its sidewall mounting bracket).
Would this tubing be leading to another bilge pump, possibly electric?
Also, does anyone know where to get a replacement for this pump or will I need to start looking for any manual pump for its replacement? Such as a Whale bilge pump?

Not many possibilities

I can't think of many possibilities for this thing to work, without a valve of some kind in there. You can trace out the hoses and see where they go to get an idea, but I would think you will come out ahead to just junk the entire assembly and start over.

I've gotten on this thing (cracked handle and all) with a belly full of water and once it filled up, it shot out a huge volume of water with each stroke. Starting over makes sense, but wonder if an electric with manual back up in this configuration (a "Y") is common. In this case the manual certainly works well. And thank you Nice and Easy!

Just how does it work with that Y in there. Is that some kind of split intake. Where does it shoot out the water. I just can't get it through my thick head how it can work with the Y.

it looks something like the one on my s 2.....the y is on the outgoing side and the other part if the y is prolly the out going side of an electric bilge pump from the looks of it ........
