Manual Bildge Pump

Hello, I am new to this forum. I bought my 40 legacy 1985 last year and have been working on it ever since. There is the normal automatic bildge pump. Also there is a manual uptake in the bildge and the pipe goes under the kitchen sink where a whale bildge pump was installed(nothing there now) and the out going pipe out the hull. The whale pump was installed so the handle was facing the back seat of the dining area. There is a 3 1/2 inch cutout for the handle part and the rest mounts under the sink. Can anyone please tell me exactly what brand and model whale plump I should install ? Many thanks,Tank

Hunter usually uses the least expensive parts in their boats so I would imagine it is Whale's Gusher Urchin, they come in 1" and 1.5" so measure the hose first. defender has them at 65 bucks

Captmikem has good info regarding the hose diameter needed. That might give you a hint to the pump that would fit. You might also check ebay for pictures of the different models of whale gusher pumps and others available. You might also be able to slightly modify the opening if the model you choose doesn't fit exactly.
