Can the shellfish shown on the video grow that much in a year???????

Yes.. In warm water with a bit of nutrient added, there could be a lot more!.
In 9 months, in a kinda stagnated harbor and low boat use, my propeller went from being clean to looking like a football made of barnacles.

Yes its easy to get a large collection of mussels in one year. I managed to do it by trying to get an extra year out of my bottom paint. This is from one season in Salem Harbor in Massachusetts.
