I am replacing my dodger on a 37' sailboat and am considering using Makrolon for my glass. The additional cost is about $200. I like the clarity and am told it will last longer properly maintained. I am interested in getting feedback, good or bad.

Makrolon is a brand of polycarbonate. I probably wouldn't use it in a dodger. It isn't as scratch resistant or UV-tolerant as Acrylic would be.

I believe the gold standard here is Strataglass.

Wouldn't it be nice if the clear panels in a dodger were replaceable in the manner of face shields? Thin polycarbonate is not expensive. Less than $120 for a 4x8 foot sheet.

I'm just wondering why he's thinking of using Makrolon, which is rigid and subject to scratching and UV damage... Strataglass would be much better a material generally speaking, unless he's got a HARD dodger. If he's got a hard dodger, Makrolon, with the anti-scratch and UV protection might make more sense.
