MAKING PROGRESS

Slowly but surely I'm making progress on turning this #313 1983 O'Day 30 CB into a very comfortable and sailable vessel. There is much to do.
Question for the group regarding the bilge. On my 30 I have a gusher manual hand bilge pump. In the Head room, I have a electric bilge I assume for the shower. How ever the bilge is a three compartment set up with gaps interconnecting. I have installed a low profile bilge pump in the lowest part of the bilge area. Is it necessary to have the shower bilge as well? As always, all comments, good, bad or snarky are welcome.

Good idea to have the shower sump separate in order to trap hair etc there instead of putting it in with the regular bilge water where it can ferment and get even more fragrant than normal bilge water.

Never though about the hair. Not that I have that much left, but the wife has long blonde hair in abundance. Thanks for the insight.
