I found and brought my C-27 mast home to the Luger. I found it in Apple Valley, CA. It cost $400 and is well worth it considering the shape. He still has about 4 or 5 C-27 mast. I met him about 1 1/2 months ago. At that time they had just stopped cutting them up for scrap and decided to try selling them. At that time they were cutting the rigging and letting the mast drop on to the ground. He has some with all of the rigging. One of them looks like the rigging is new. On that one they cut the lower toggle threaded eye. He told me not to worry they have lots of them.. He's going to remove the rigging and save it for me to pick up next week. I'll also get the running light, antenna, anchor light and windex. He has quite a few halyards.
This one looks like it may have a a wire rope halyard.
It has a winch on it. Does the wire halyard wrap on the wind to cinch up the halyard? Seems like it would slip.
