making a boom crutch for a hunter 22

Does anyone out there know where to buy a boom crutch. If I cant buy one I guess I will attempt to make one.
Any ideas will be appreciated.
I am thinking of looking into looking at pintles in a chain link fence store. the pintles should match the ones on the rudder. which look like 1/2 inch, and attching them to a 2X4 with a plywood top to hold the mast.
Wouldn't you think that Hunter would have this for their h22. How do you get in touch with the hunter company?
