Mainsheet system O'Day 22

Since my boat came without a mainsheet system - no boom bang either I need to put something together. I was hoping to get a few ideas from others. I am looking for ease of handling while cruising shorthanded. My back stay has the standard triangle and I have a tang off the end of the boom. As for the boom - it doesn't appear to have had a boom vang hooked up to it. So need some ideas for that. Should I go with the standard 3-1 mainsheet system as outlined in the manual or is there something that works better - figure I have to spend the money anyway - so I should see what has worked for others.

D & R marine can set you up with with both the boom vang and a main sheet for your 22. A boom vang isn't absolutely necessary except in fairly strong winds. The main sheet will be a little more expensive due to the blocks that are needed. http://www.drmarine.com/
