My Mainsail is beat, the batten pockets are shot and the material lets a lot of wind through. I am looling for one in good condition. the mast is 25'

Bite the bullet, and go new. You'll never regret it. Also, invest a couple of hundred for a good sail cover if you don't already have one. I bought a new sail cover from Rudy at D&R Marine a few weeks ago and I love it. Rudy also has sails for your boat. Get some prices on a good mainsail and go for it. You won't be sorry. I bought my sails new at Thurston Sails, Bristol RI. back in 1993 and they're still in great condition as far as shape and material are concerned. I've always tried to keep the sun off them by covering them with my sail cover, even when I stop and anchor for 30 minutes to take my dog to shore in the kayak for nature's call. This practice alone has sure paid off through the years. I think that I only got about 3 years out of my Neil Prides that came new with my boat, because I neglected to cover them. Joe
