I just tore up the mainsail on my 1985 H34 and I'm hoping someone can point me towards a good source for a new one. I actually live in the Philadelphia area.

Ulmer Skelley

Check with Ulmer Skelley in Havre DeGrace, Md. I know they do a lot of work on Hunters because the Tidewater Hunter Dealer is close by in town. I've been using them for 20 years and had really excelent work including a loose footed main custom measured for the boat and two Genoas plus various yearly upkeep work.

Hunter Legend 37 Portsmouth, RI
I have a main sail...

...from an '88 Legend 37 that was blown out at the first reef and professionally repaired. It is Dutchman-fitted (2 control lines). I had it cleaned and fully-repaired before that at Sail Care. I'm not sure what is required to make it fit a 34, but a sailmaker may let you know. It is for sale and I can be reached thru this web site.

I have ... Paul

As I understand it, Paul (and you may know this better than me) what matters is the luff or dimension up the mast and the foot or length along the boom. The sail can be a little small in either or both dimensions but it can't be too big. If it's too big, I don't think it's worth it to have it cut.
