Don, I know you're busy sipping ice tea somewhere in your land yacht...but I have been wondering about something. Reading over the archives about sail twist you say to sail close hauled and trim the main until the top batten is parallel to the boom.....I understand and can visualize that. My question is.....why close hauled?, why couldn't you trim the main that way under any point of sail above a broad reach?
