Mainsail telltales

Looking for some best practice advice for attaching telltails to the edge of our dacron mainsail. Sew or sailtape or...

My tales are also taped to my leach. Makes for easy and quick replacement if/when needed.

thanks for the info, any more detail on how to attach to the leach for best results? Or does it matter...just slap on some tape and move on?

Tale-tells have the sticky round thingy's (very technical, I know) and should just stick on. I put mine on several years ago and they are tattered but still attached. I think mine were Davis tales. I don't remember. But check SBO to see if Phil sells them. If not, then try Amazon.

We have some very light, thin spinnaker nylon and sail tape. Thinking of making some strips and taping them on.
