Mainsail Reefing Lines

I've recently bought a Catalina 30TR and am unsure how to rig the main reefing lines – can any owners out there give me a heads-up? I see towards the end of the boom there are two pulleys mounted on the starboard side. On other boats I have sailed, the reefing line is tied around the boom, then threaded through the eyelet in the sail's trailing edge and down through the boom-end pulleys. After that (if this is correct), I'm unsure where the reefing line then runs to. Any advice appreciated! PS: Had a first sail last week and it was fantastic!

Single line reefing

Tom, The way i understand it is: 1) Tie one end of the line around the boom (is there an eye near the aft pulley?) 2) Lead the line up through the leach cringle and back down through the aft pulley 3) Lead the line from the aft pulley to the forward pulley. The pulley should be configured to allow the line to go back up to the luff cringle although mine doesn't. If it only allows the line to go down, then lead it the turning block, then aft. 4) lead the line back down from the luff cringle to a turning block on the deck that routes the line aft to a winch. This set up allows you to fully reef the sail from the cockpit. If you cannot run the line through the luff cringle, then you will have to go forward and put the cringle through the reefing hook by hand. Kind of defeats the purpose, though.
