Does anyone know how many cringles (reef line attachment points) are on an Oday 25 mainsail? Would anyone know what length and diameter lines I would require for the reefing line through the mainsail? My guess is 3 foot sections of 5/16' line but if anyone knows would appreciate your assistance.

1 Set of 5 Sounds Right

I had my second main set up with an extra set of reefing points but I never did use the second set, as the weather conditions would have been so poor that I just stayed put. On my current main I have just 1 set, and there are 5 of them. Two (1 each) for the tack and clew and 3 for the bag of sail along the boom. I use 5/16 line about 2 to 3 feet sounds right, to lace the main to the boom. The cringles between the tack and the clew do most of the securing. The bag of the excess sail along the foot is rolled up and laced along the boom with the 5/16 line. Don

Thanks Don

Don, appreciate your information. As an aside, I won't go out with the main reefed twice either. Take Care.
