Mainsail Installation Assisatnce

OK - I need some help! I am in my second year of sailing. I had a sail friend help me last year with putting up both sails. I took both down last fall by myself. I have the Genoa on my furler and have my mainsail remaining. I need to start doing this myself, so I don't have to bug him every year. Do I start with the luft clips on the mast first or the foot clips on the boom first?Thanks,Greg W"SlipAway"

Installing mainsail

Greg, If your main has a boltrope for the boom install it first, and then install the luff slides into the slot starting with the slide closest to the head board. Hoisting the main as you do this will make it simple.
