We are going to look at a boat in Yarmouth, Maine. If it passes our initial survey we will want a full blown marine survey. Any recommendations for thorough surveyors in that area? Thanks.

Gallop yacht surveying, Lynn Ma. Did a great job for me. I bought a 1987 O'Day 272 le., with an inboard diesel engine, he was very detailed and spot on in his report.

I used Brian Hathaway last October and was very happy with the results.

He identified what was "...considered necessary for the well being of the vessel and her crew and should be addressed in the very near future..." and then what was need to comply with USCG and CFR regulations, then some based on ABYC NFPC standards, then some sugggestions to be "...consistent with good marine practice, proper vessel maintenance, and prudent seamanship."
