O'Day 28, 1983....the traveler track has "lifted", meaning, the last starboard bolt has lift to the point of the nut imbedded into the fiberglass. I can NOT get a socket onto the bolt so I was strongly considering cutting the bolt and starting over. Does anyone know the bolt/nut size, I can not find the size info on D&R or Torrenson Marine site. I was going to rebed the track bolt holes with a similar product from West Marine as 5200.

Once you cut the bolt, you can "marry" the two pieces and you'll know the size and length.

Don't, please don't, use 5200. Really. Why? Cuz if any of your other bolts start to leak, you'll have to remove the track. Removal would be a pain if you glue it down. You need a sealant, NOT a glue.

Buy Maine Sail's butyl tape. http://forums.catalina.sailboatowners.com/showthread.php?t=117172

I think he was talking about using the 5200 to bed the bolt hole to prevent core damage, not to glue down the track. If not, I agree with you. ;)
