I am interested in how the Main Sheetr works on the travelers on the Arch. Must the helmsman stand on the stern and reach over the Arch to adjust the boom angle with the traveler, or can this be done within the cockpit itself. This has never been clear to me. Thanks for your clarification. Pat

Arch

On our arch the traveller lines run down each side and can be accessed without moving away from the wheel. Dan Jonas (S/V Feije)

The lines are run down the cockpit side of the arch, this allows the lines to be adjusted when standing at the wheel. It is very easy to dump the main in case of a strong gust. Regards. Bruce Neon Moon

Somewhat clumsy

Our Passage 42 is a 1997, prior to when Hunter ran the lines down the inside of the arch. I have to use the autopilot when I adjust the traveler as the lines are kinda up in the arch. Not a big deal, but I definetly need to re-engineer it. Probably will do it AFTER I mangle a finger in a stiff breeze!
