Does anyone have any experience of altering the mainsheet on a 331? I find the standard system stiff and difficult and not easy to sail close to the wind because of the lack of a track.
Do you have a traveller then as the layout on mine has no means of moving the mainsheet to windwardand no way of getting the pull on the base of the boom upwind of the midline Ed
I did not know that this boat was built without a mainsheet traveler. My mistake. I have a 2003 model and it has a traveler. Sorry for bad previous advice.
Hi Ed, No I do not have a photo. I can tell you however that the coach top was designed for the traveler and has a moulded in mounting surface. The traveler is only about 48" wide but does the trick. Harken and Schaefer make a Bridge Traveler system that should work nicely. Good luck, Liam
