There's a lot of wear on the hardware that attaches the lower mainsheet block to the traveller car. This is the one Shaeffer part that isn't referenced in the manual delivered with the boat. Has anybody replaced this? Do you h ave a reference number and vendor to recommend? Thanks!

Schaffer had a recall...
...on it's blocks a few years ago. The part that you mention was the specific reason for the recall. Contact them immediately! See link. I had to send them the part and they rebuilt it for me at no cost.

Garhauer
Replace it (and any other worn out blocks) with Garhauer hardware. It is top of the line equipment at 2/3 the cost of Harken or Shaeffer. We have replaced the mainsheet blocks, genoa sheet cheek blocks and blocks on the traveler cars with Garhauer. The cheek blocks were also custom made so the mounting holes fit the old ones. Highly recommended.
