Need help wit the size of a main sail for 1983 30' tall rig . The main I have is not the origanial sail it was with the boat when I bought it.

The number one best option is to have a reputable sail loft measure and then make your new main. Talk to several, get recommendations from the dock, choose one. It will fit and be corrected if it doesn't.

Regardless of who makes a sail for you, they are either going to measure it themselves or give you specfic instructions on how to do it.
Once you make your decision on where you are going purchase the sail, they will guide you through the process.
