2001 260 main sail track glides Has anyone had to replace? I have had one break and am thinking of replacing all. My thoughts are if one has broken down due to UV or normal wear that I would have more fail. How do they attach? Are they available from Northsail only or is an aftermarket available? I did not have time to get a close look while closing up, T-storms. Any advise would be welcome.

Sail Slugs - an easy repair
I believe you are refering to the sail slugs which are attached to the sail and fit into the mast. I have had to replace several on my hunter 26. Fortunately, as my skills are limited, I found it an easy job. They are found at West Marine and I would suspect most boating supply stores. Check the size of yours as they come in different sizes.

Crazy Dave told me to get 3/8-1/2 inch slides with less than 1/4 inch throat when I broke one.

I wasn't the on that replaced it, but I think the slides should come out of the mast track if you take the stopper screw out, replace the broken one and slide them back in. The next time one breaks, I am going to replace them all. The WM on Capital Blvd never has the right ones in stock you have to order, you can get them from sailnet also. We sail out of Steele Creek, we are on A dock, 2nd 260 on the left. sv "Close To it"
