Hi guys, Maiden voyage today for my 1981 H22. Had to jury rig the outhaul, reefing line and topping lift. could not figure this out. If anyone can post very detailed instructions or closeup digital photos, it would be greatly appreciated. Seems that the topping lift is a cable that shackles on to that pin that goes through the "flange" area at the end of the boom, is that correct? (Well, that is not how the yard had mine set up.) then at the luff of the sail, the last two slugs are on a separate little cord, that I assume is a reefing line. It is an awfully short cord. Is that just supposed to go into one of those cams at the gooseneck end of the boom? which cam the port side or starboard side? Then, I suppose the other cam at the gooseneck holds the other reefing line that runs in the boom to the aft end of the boom to the outhaul. The outhaul is funky too and seems to have a slug on it. Why?The outhaul shackle seems to close by means of a plain machine screw. I was missing that screw. Where to get one? What is is called? What kind of thread?Where does the bitter end of the outhaul come out of the boom? It did not come out in the middle as in the diagram, it was coming out the gooseneck end. Actually, could not find a hole for the ouhaul to come out midspan of the boom, but was not looking that hard.If anyone is here on Long Island and can let me see your rig, I would be most grateful.Thanks.Help Please. and many thanks in advance to those who do.
