Main Mast spec's

I'm intrested in the tension on the lanyards on the Main Mask. I bought a 1979 seidelmann 29.9 . I dropped the Mast to move the boat now it is time to put mask back up and I don't know the tension on the lanyards. Can anyone help? Thanks, Gary

Lanyards?

Gary, Lanyards? Don't you mean your shrouds, & stays; all can commonly be called stays, the wire that holds yer mast up?Run, don't walk, and order The Complete Riggers apprentice by Brian Toss. Your local library should have it too.Otherwise you'd better consult a rigger.I have seen amatures attempting to raise a mast end up with disaterous results too.If in a berth you will need to consult your marina.
