Main halyard to cockpit
John,I mounted a block thru the cabin top at the base of the mast and a cheek block just below the handrail. The halyard runs back to a cam cleat on the cabin top at the front of the cockpit. I have since learned that the first block should have been mounted to the base of the mast rather than though the cabin/deck. The cam cleat works fine but I'm leary of the kids hitting it and knocking the halyard loose. I'm also not real comfortable raising the main from the cockpit because of the stresses put on the blocks. I use this mainly to drop the main. Raising usually involves me going to the mast after a slide catches anyway. Once you do this you will want to add lazyjacks, I built my own - easy, for the next best thing to having a roller main. Sorry no pictures - boat put away for the season.
