Hi all, I would like to mount a new flat screen TV to the saloon main bulkhead. Can anyone tell me if it is solid or hollow and if 32"-37" seems about the best size ? Thanks for your advise. Bladeswell.

Solid as a single sheet of plywood can be. As for size of the TV, your boat - your choice.

Well, I suppose that's better than hollow for mounting purposes. Would you guess it at about 3/4 "? Thanks again.

Blade,
A friend has an 86 C36. He put a flat panel TV on @ 32." I thought it was a bit over sized even on this length.

You didn't mention the year of you boat, but one quick way to see what to mount is to get the overall dimensions for some TV's your looking at and make a few cardboard templates. Do dry fit-ups & several locations. This should give you a better idea......

Thanks guys,
3/4" should do nicely. I was thinking 32"-37" might be too big for the distance and area involved. Great idea about the cardboard templates. That will give a very real picture of size and fit. And smaller should mean less power requirements. The boat will be 78 to 84. I'm currently shopping. Thanks again.
