Just checking if I have the correct settings on the Magnum Remote for a pair of Lifeline 31XT house and smaller Lifeline start batteries. The Charger is the MMS 1000w charger/inverter.
Under SETUP I have:
01 Search Watts = 10w
02 LowBattCutOut = 11.5vdc (is this too low?)
03 Absorb Time = 1.0 hr (this follows Magnum's instructions for the 250 Amp.hr house bank, but searching shows longer values, up to 6.0 hrs).
04 Battery Type = AGM1 (per Magnum's instructions).
05 Charge Rate = 80% Max (no idea where to go here).
06 VAC Dropout = 90VAC (any reason not to make this 105v?)
09 Final Charge = Float.
10 Power Up = Yes
Day and weekend sailor only so the boat is hooked up to 30a shore power regularly.
Here are my questions.
1). The maximum full charge is 12.9 to 13.0v which is consistent with Lifeline's open circuit voltage of 12.8 and higher for a 100% state of charge (still used to looking for 13.4v so AGM's lower voltage remains odd to me). I don't see a setting or option of checking the voltage for the house or start battery separately. How is this performed with the Remote?
2) I have a Blue Sea Systems ACR. The momentary remote switch shows both banks combined. When combined, does this make for a combined bank full charge voltage reading?
3). Similar questions under METER and 02 SOC and 03 Meters, is there a way to toggle these parameters between the house and start banks?
Thanks for any feedback and suggestions. Still getting up to speed with these new systems.
