I spent a good many years serving on round hull submarines. I know of everything from coffe cups to shotguns that went over the side, including me once.
The removable plates on the sail of a Strugeon class submarine are about 2' square and will plane through the water 80-100' when they fall in the water, as with dropping tools when working on your car the gravitaional pull of a submarine tender pulled the sail plate under the ship. Divers spent 2 days looking for that, they also brought up over 200 coffe cups.

I have cleaned up around the pier several times and you would not believe the stuff laying on the bottom.Tools,Trash, Even jewelery has been found. I had a pile of anchors at one time and gave them away. I hope this is never corrected as I love finding this stuff.
How exactly do you go about doing that....:D

I did a lot of diving in younger years and would recover things for people when asked.Several rings were foung with my fisher metal detector and ran up on an outboard motor several times. Most people do not understand not to take things you don't wantto loseon a pierorboat.
