Would like to get feed back on the best sailing magazine to take for someone that has a H26.

I like cruising world

I think all sailing magazines will have something to offer just about everyone. But if you are not a racer, I have found the most practical advise and topics in cruising world.

"Sail" is most approriate for your size boat.

You will find the most information related to the under 30' range in "Sail", although you get a decent sample of the bigger stuff too. "Cruising World" is predominately the boats and places we all dream about retiring to or to cruise the world on. While I have not seen the "Lattitudes" publication it sounds more like Cruising World that Sail. PS: I subscribe to Sail, Cruising World and Passagemaker.

Lee, Sail is probably best but that is limited.

Many have something from time to time about towable boats but I don't recall anything in the last 2 years about water ballasted boats in any mags I've read. I get Sail, Sailing, Crusing World and Ocean Navigator. I read all of them cover to cover. Way? That's a very good question. We're retired and bought a 95 H26 2 years ago and bought into the sport very hard. We study every one of these mags for info about sailing, sailing styles, tricks and the articles on nav and weather. Safety is a huge concern we learn about in all mags and new products are also interesting. Sailing is no different with a WB boat or fixed keel other than when you reef. We are presently buying a 37 foot cutter for our trip to New Zealand starting this summer. Knowledge is everything and if I had one mag to buy it would probably be Sail. Ray S/V Speedy
